Location. The Wyndham Chicago is one block from Chicago's (Ill.) North Michigan Avenue and within five blocks of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Wrigley Building and Tribune Tower. Navy Pier is seven blocks from the hotel. Lakefront Running Path is six blocks away. The hotel is three blocks from Lake Michigan. The Historic Water Tower, John Hancock Center and Oak Street beach are one half mile away.
Hotel Features. An intricately woven iron and crystal chandelier introduces the marble lobby area, with floor to ceiling windows and a complementing winding staircase leading to an open reception desk on the second floor. Cherry wood banquette and lounge settings set apart the lobby from the Caliterra Bar & Grille, which combines Northern Californian and Italian Tuscan cuisine with elegant wine pairings. Small parties often reserve the neighboring wine room. The hotel offers a 24 hour business center with wireless Internet access for a fee and photocopy and fax services for a fee. More than 16,000 square feet of flexible meeting space includes two ballrooms and 12 conference areas with banquet facilities. Complimentary hotel amenities include a fitness center with cardiovascular and strength training equipment, a sauna and an indoor pool with spa tub. The concierge arranges in room massages through a staffed masseuse.

Leather topped desks and Herman Miller ergonomic chairs sit across from premium bedding with feather comforters and pillows. Rooms boast oversized closets. Armoires house CD players and cable television. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee in each room.
Hotel Expert's Tip. Dinnertime became an all night event at the Wyndham Chicago's Caliterra Bar & Grill exhibition kitchen. I dined on a six course tasting menu and cheese cart while Executive Chef prepared innovative cuisine for the restaurants ever evolving menu.
