An Art Nouveau hotel built in 1911 by the renowned architect Arnold Heymann, the Esplanade Spa and Golf Resort is set in a park commanding scenic views over the town and nearby hills, one kilometre from the famous Marienbad Spa Colonnade. The 91 guestrooms are decorated in neutral shades with soft brown accents and open on to balconies. All include satellite television, dial up Internet connections, minibars and safes. Marble clad bathrooms feature jetted tubs, robes, telephones and complimentary toiletries.
The hotel's spa centre provides a wide range of personally tailored treatments, including massage, paraffin wraps, pearl, mineral and marsh baths, and hydro jet, ultrasonic and floating therapies. All treatments are overseen by the professional spa team and utilise mineral water taken from the area's natural springs. Guest can pamper themselves with Biodroga, dermajet and thermojet treatments, and can head to the beauty salon for manicures, depilation and hairdressing. The ornate indoor pool boasts bubble beds, a solarium, and a Roman spa with a sauna, sanarium, steam bath and plunge pool. Golfers will find two golf simulators, pitch and putt, an indoor putting green and driving net, alongside nine outdoor putting greens. Professional coaching is available on site and the hotel can provide transport to several nearby courses. The hotel also houses pool and billiard tables, indoor and outdoor fitness equipment, tennis courts, and tracks for cycling and horse riding. The Edward VII Restaurant is a grand, Art Deco dining room serving international fare and a selection of vintage wines, while the Colonnade Terrace extends onto an outdoor area with panoramic views of the town. After dinner, guest can relax over drinks in the contemporary, golf themed bar. Practical amenities include a full concierge service, wireless Internet access (surcharge) and 24 hour room service. A registered taxi from the airport to the hotel will cost approximately 145 EUR. Bus 119 runs from the airport to Dejvick� metro station. Trains run from here into central Prague, from where a train should be caught to Mari�nsk� L�zne station, 1.5 kilometres from the hotel. The vicinity of the hotel and Marienbad are best explored on foot.
Driving directions: From Prague, take highway D5 towards Plzen. Stay on the D5 through Plzen and follow signs for Rozvadov. Take exit 128 and follow signs towards Bor, then signs for Mari�nsk� L�zne. Follow the main road through the town, looking out for signs for the hotel.
